Ahhh just looking at this picture brings back fantastic dream like memories of my fantastic trip around South America,
The picture above was taken on february 17th 2009 at Machu Pitchu the "lost city of the Incas" in Peru. a wonderful feat of engineerin
g about 2400 metres above Sea level, but you know what ill come back to Peru in the peru link that ill get round to doing, but lets start from the begining.
So we flew to Buenos Aires on the 12th December 2008 the flight took us to washinton DC first then we had to take another flight direct to the big BA,
Ok so after about 17 hours in the air i was slightly relieved to have landed, strangely enough the first thing that hit me was the immense heat, we landed at about 12.00pm and shameful for me i remember the first thing i wanted to do was smoke a ciggarette, come on you smokers know what its like, i think we christened the arrival with 3 smokes one after each other,
So our next part of the journey was to get to san isidro in buenos aires, now this is my first time out of europe remember and my school Spanish wasnt really up to much but as if celine had just eaten a spanish dictionary she began to ask where the nearest telephone was ordering taxis and giving directions...oh yes in spanish, She told me before we left she could speak a little as i thought i could, but i guess i just wasnt expecting that.
Arriving in San isidro was great, colourful houses a beautiful crisp smell, and extremely friendly people, we were infact there to meet celines friends who had a room for us at there apartment until we decided where we were going and how long for. So we sat and ate a cheese and ham toastie waiting for Javier to arrive.
